Ah, it’s not all glamour Ann Marie, there's just as many ups and downs as a regular job, it's a very insecure job no contracts, no guarantees, many relationships end in divorce, I'm lucky I have a Thai wife, Thai's often work from home, so my job works well living in Thailand.
Many touring types struggle when they are out of work, fall into depression
unfortunately the suicide rate is high. Australia has a support system for this, bwitten… enough said.
I lost my job in march 2019 when my boss killed himself, not one penny from the band or management for loss of earnings, you can guarantee they made claims for loss of show money against his estate.
Touring staff are not looking at working again until summer 2022. Tis pretty shite really. I’m just very lucky I have set meself up here in Thailand where it’s cheaper to live, like everyone else, savings are dwindling, rough with the smooth. I am counting my blessings and very happy I am here with you all on medium!
Here’s the other side of touring, the very unglamorous side, I will leave out the underhanded backstabbing buck passing jellyfish side out. 😜
Always Ann Marie. J. 🙏✨🙏☘ if you made it this far… 🙏🙏🙏🙏💥⭐
